On July 19, the awarding ceremony for specialized colleges of CASIC Corporate University & the first council meeting was held in Beijing, with Fang Xiangming, a deputy secretary of Party Committee and a vice president of CASIC attended the meeting.
The meeting announced the establishment of the first council of CASIC Corporate University with Fang as its president, and released the list of its members. Fang awarded plate for each of the 8 specialized colleges like Qian Xuesen Aerospace System Engineering College.
Fang stressed that the development of CASIC Corporate University should highlight characteristics of the age, namely sharing, interconnection and individuality, and the University should function to the largest extent as an important strategic tool for strategic publicity and implementation, cultural transmission, talent cultivation, knowledge transformation and internal and external communication of CASIC. To this end, colleges should enhance resource sharing and complement each other's strengths, form respective core competitiveness, improve construction of teachers' team and curriculum, and shape unique aerospace training brand; the council should beef up the self-building and perform duties conscientiously; organizations of the council should take the development of the University as the top priority and dutifully provide both service and coordination, so as to achieve resource sharing.
