On 5 July 2011, CASIC and China Merchants Bank signed strategic cooperation agreement in Beijing. CASIC President Xu Dazhe and China Merchants Bank (CMB) President Ma Weihua attended the signing ceremony and gave speeches. The agreement was signed into effect by Liu Yuezhen, Chief Accountant of CASIC and Tang Zhihong, VP of CMB, signifying a new chapter in mutual cooperation.
CASIC President Xu Dazhe, in his speech, gave an introduction to CASIC's development and financial situation and expressed his appreciation for the long-standing help and support of CMB. He observed that as scope of business expands and financing needs increase, CASIC will enhance its cooperation with the financial sector in the future. CASIC and CMB have a long history of cooperation in many areas. The signing of the strategic cooperation agreement will usher in a new era of close relationship between both sides.
Ma Weihua noted that the agreement will facilitate mutual cooperation, and CMB will always be dedicated to provision of quality financial services to CASIC for the purpose of enhancing its R&D capacity and market expansion abilities.
