Recently, ten big events of CASIC in 2020 were officially released.
1. Resolute fight against COVID-19. Under the strong leadership of the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at its core, we have reacted swiftly to the Party's commands, fought with all our might, spared no efforts to fight against the pandemic, and taken various measures to resume work and production. While making overall plans for the regular epidemic prevention and control, and for the scientific research, production and operation, we have also practiced our original aspiration and mission in this test with practical actions, demonstrated the great spirit of combating the COVID-19, and attracted the attention of the world with aerospace wisdom, aerospace strength, aerospace responsibility and aerospace spirit and won the commendation of the Party Central Committee, the State Council, the Central Military Commission and the SASAC Party Committee.
2. In-depth study and propaganda to implement the spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee. The spirit of the Fifth Plenary Session of the 19th CPC Central Committee Study was studied, publicized and implemented as an important political task and a major political responsibility swiftly following the session, and was used to guide strategic planning, which set off a wave of study and propaganda in the whole system, and attracted Xinhua News Agency, Guangming Daily, Study Times and other central media reporting the Corporation's implementation of the spirit of the plenary session.
3. Successful first strategic work meeting and the 12th Meeting of the Strategic Management Committee. Focusing on the main responsibilities and main businesses, the Corporation has clearly defined its medium- and long-term three-step strategic goal, development thought, key tasks and strategic initiatives for the "14th Five-Year Plan" to start a new journey to build a world-class aerospace defense corporation.
4. Accomplishment of "13th Five-Year Plan" tasks. The Party's leadership has been comprehensively strengthened, major achievements have been made in the development of aerospace defense equipment, significant progress has been made in scientific and technological innovation, major breakthroughs have been made in the in-depth development of industrial amalgamation, the overall deepening of reform has been advanced, and economic operation has been generally stable, laying a solid foundation for the good start of "14th Five-Year Plan".
5. Full fulfillment of main responsibility of building a strong military, and new breakthrough in the aerospace defense With thorough implementation of Xi Jinping's thought of building a strong military, many national major projects, major special projects, scientific research and production and security tasks of key models have seen further success; after deepening the "zero defect" quality awareness among all staff, flight test success rate maintained high, and core capacity has been built to lay a solid foundation for long-term development.
6. Important breakthroughs in key core technologies. Upholding innovation-driven development, the Corporation launched a series of independent innovation initiatives one after another, which accelerated the accomplishment of a large number of innovative achievements, and it also put its hands to the development of cutting-edge technologies and applications and made important achievements in a number of new areas, and important breakthroughs in a number of key core technologies in key projects, winning the National Science and Technology Award repeatedly, which further fueled the motivation of the self-reliance and self-improvement of science and technology.
7. Leap-forward in aerospace industry. A series of new technologies and products have contributed to the success of major national projects such as the global deployment of BeiDou Navigation Satellite System (BDS-3), the launch of the rover for the Mars mission Tianwen 1 and the Chang'e 5 Lunar Mission, and also the successful launch and in-orbit testing of the satellites, Xingyun-2 01 and 02, and the successful "low-orbit broadband satellite + 5G" maritime communication experiment of the Hongyun project, and two commercial launches of Kuaizhou-1; the aerospace industry has seen positive development results.
8. New achievements in serving the national strategy and the people's livelihood. We provide aerospace high-tech products to meet people's aspirations for a better life, and our innovative applications like smart city and intelligent transportation have promoted the construction of Digital China; our leading role in Industrial Internet, information technology application innovation and other key industries was further enhanced, with laser chips and other key products and core technologies achieving breakthroughs, winning China Industrial Internet Contest finals championship in all categories; we also made outstanding contributions to Covid-19 fighting by providing public health emergency equipment.
9. Enhanced Party building. Thoroughly implementing general guidelines for Party building for a new era and the Party's organizational line in the new era, the 10th Party Building Work Meeting and the 4th General Membership Meeting directly under the capital area were held, to lead high-quality development through high-quality party building, and provide strong political guarantee for the development of the aerospace industry. We completed the task of poverty alleviation in the new era with high quality through due contribution made with aerospace characteristics.
10. Breakthrough in the building of strategic leading talent team. Six of our employees were enlisted in the major national talent program, one team and one expert were awarded the National Innovation Award, one person was awarded the Guanghua Engineering Science and Technology Award, one person was awarded the title of "Top 10 Most Popular Stunts" in the 1st Vocational Skills Competition. Four employees were awarded the National Model Worker, and one person was posthumously awarded by the Party Committee of the SASAC Party Committee as an outstanding Communist Party member of central SOEs.
