Recently, the 500t commercial space solid thrust carrier rocket (one-stage, reduced charge) independently developed by China Space Sanjiang Group Corporation (CSSG) of China Aerospace Science and Industry Corporation Limited (hereinafter referred to as CASIC) has been proved a success in the ground test, marking great breakthroughs made in key technologies for large-thrust and high-mass-ratio solid carrier rockets.
This solid carrier rocket (one-stage) is currently the one with the maximum diameter and largest thrust. Supported by manned space flight engineering, CASIC has actively implemented the strategy of “innovation-driven development” to promote innovative development of the commercial aerospace industry; adopted multiple original and leading technical proposals to make breakthroughs in such key technologies as new charging and material preparation processes; sought balance between the difficulties in prototyping manufacturing of large solid carrier rockets and the demands of large solid carrier rockets with high performance, reliability and safety; blazed a new trail in the design and manufacturing of large solid carrier rockets of China. All these are of vital significance for enhancing the space transportation capacity of China and making space engineering projects of public welfare and commercial types more practical and convenient.
